I am making a small play on the Nebraska Huskers +3.5 points under the Friday Night Lights in Champaign Illinois. Illinois had a feared, top defense last season. That was last year and now is this year! Right now the Illini defense ranks 113 in the nation in defensive success rate. They have been worse against the run with a national rank of 119th in rushing success rate allowed. Nebraska is the squad that enters play with the better defense this season! The Husker run defense is allowing just 2.6 yards per play! I think this is a perfect situation for a Nebraska team that has has success running the ball and defending the run this season. This Nebraska team has clear advantages on the Defensive and Offensive side of the ball regardless who is under center, Jeff Sims or Heinrich Haarberg. Its also worth noting that the Huskers have covered in 2 of their 3 games this season with the only loss coming to Michigan. Plus we’re getting 3.5 points with a better defense and better coach! Huskers +3.5 to the Window!
